Shabana has written to the Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps MP, regarding Pakistan’s status as a ‘red list’ country.

The red list for travel restricts international travel to and from the UK to designated countries. Recently, Pakistan has remained classified as a red list country despite a decrease in coronavirus cases.

In April, Shabana wrote to the Foreign Secretary, asking him to outline the criteria for adding or removing countries from the red list.

In her latest letter, Shabana asks the Transport Secretary what data the Department is using to make decisions on travel, when countries with comparably higher rates have been moved to the amber list.
