Shabana has joined litter pickers determined to clean up Digbeth.

Over two and a half years ago, a constituent contacted Shabana about the proliferation of nitrous oxide cannisters in Digbeth.

Not satisfied with the state of the streets, he constituent decided to create Friends of Bradford Street, a group dedicated to improving the neighbourhood and holding regular litter picks.

The group has gone from strength to strength, attracting more residents to its regular litter pick every month.

Shabana joined the group to take part and thank them for all of their work.

Speaking after the litter pick, Shabana said:

I want to offer my deepest gratitude to Friends of Bradford Street for being a shining example of how everyone pitching in, and doing their bit, can make a world of difference.

 

My work continues to hold Birmingham City Council to account when it comes to cleaner streets.
