Shabana has thanked firefighters for their exceptional service in a visit to Ladywood Fire Station.

Ladywood Fire Station has a reputation for its charity and fundraising work – from car washes to Christmas collections.

During her visit, Shabana toured the station and had the opportunity to peak inside the fire engines (PRLS) and speak to firefighters.

Shabana presented the station with a letter thanking them for their work.

Speaking after the visit, Shabana said:

I’m used to putting out political fires – but these are the people who handle the actual heat.

 

Their work is genuinely life saving, with the average response time from West Midlands Fire Service of less than five minutes.

 

I couldn’t miss the opportunity to thank everyone at Ladywood Fire Station for their dedicated service.
