Shabana has broken ground on a whopping £95,000 investment at a Bordesley Green community space.
The investment at Pitch 2 Progress has been made possible thanks to the Government’s Better Youth Spaces fund.
A purpose-built kitchen will soon be built on the site, expanding the offer for young people across Birmingham.
In addition to breaking ground, Shabana also took part in a ceremony to switch on the lights after the site was connected to mains power.
Speaking at the event, Shabana Mahmood said:
Pitch 2 Progress is going from strength to strength thanks to Obayed and the team.
I’m delighted that the government is backing this site with over £95,000 of investment and I’m proud to support their work with young people in our city.
