Shabana has launched multiple petitions calling on the council to install more mobile CCTV cameras to catch flytippers.

Working alongside candidates across the Birmingham Ladywood constituency, Shabana is calling for action after residents have reported vans and vehicles dumping rubbish in the area.

Where the council has introduced the cameras, those dumping rubbish have been fined or had their vehicles seized.

As part of the campaign, residents are being asked to sign and return petition cards supporting the campaign.

Launching the petition at a campaigning session, Shabana said:

Dumping rubbish is a criminal offence, but often the evidence doesn’t exist to fine or prosecute those responsible.

That’s why I’m working with Labour candidates to call for more mobile CCTV cameras to catch those disrespecting our streets.

Please sign our petition to show the council the strength of feeling on this issue.
