Shabana has welcomed investment in parks across Birmingham on a visit to Adderley Park.
Adderley Park in Alum Rock has seen over £250,000 of investment in a brand new cricket and football pitch over the past 12 months.
Nearby Alexander Way is also getting new play equipment and an outdoor gym, and Ward End Park will receive a full replacement of its existing play area.
All of this is part of a bumper £4million investment in parks across the city – including in Shabana’s Birmingham Ladywood constituency.
Speaking at the ribbon-cutting, Shabana said:
This is what investment in our community looks like.
A Labour government working with a Labour council to deliver a huge boost in funding for our parks and green spaces.
