Shabana has joined candidates, members, and supported to launch Labour’s plan for Birmingham.
On 7th May residents across Birmingham go to the polls to elect 101 councillors.
Labour’s plan will build on the progress made at Birmingham City Council to close the budget gap and improve services for residents.
As part of the plan, Birmingham Labour will:
- Invest £40million in street cleaning over the next 3 years.
- Ensure there is a named, contactable police officer for every neighbourhood.
- Deliver £180million of Pride in Place funding in neighbourhoods across Birmingham.
In her remarks, Shabana welcomed a slate of new candidates in Birmingham Ladywood with fresh ambition for our city.
