Shabana has attended a police raid of a mini-mart on Soho Road allegedly selling illegal goods.
It comes as she announced illegal mini-marts, barbers and vape shops could be shut for up to a year under new government powers.
At one shop on Soho Road police and Trading Standards officers found illegal cigarettes and snuff. A shopworker was also arrested after a makeshift weapon was found under the counter.
Recently, in her role as Home Secretary, Shabana has announced £20 million of funding for an enhanced law enforcement response for dodgy shops run by organise crime, including establishing a new multi-agency co-ordination cell based out of the National Crime Agency.
