Shabana has spoken to parents and guardians about online safety at a listening event in Newtown.
The event was hosted by the brilliant Chilwell Croft Academy in the heart of Shabana’s constituent.
Shabana invited parents to share their views about controls on devices and keeping kids safe online.
Speaking at the event, Shabana said:
It’s very easy for us as government ministers to be in our departments in London thinking about policy.
But it’s actually the lives of people in Birmingham that are affected.
There’s nothing more important to me than hearing directly from my constituents to inform my thinking.
