Shabana has launched a petition calling on the council to re-open the Ladywood neighbourhood office.

Working with Sally Benton and Satvir Dosanjh, Labour’s candidates for Ladywood in the local elections, she is calling for the long-missed neighbourhood office to be brought back into use.

The campaign is aimed at rebuilding trust between the council and local residents, which faltered during the early stages of the Ladywood regeneration project.

Shabana continues to stand up for residents living in the regeneration zone, most recently writing to the Housing Committee chair at the council regarding the proposals.

Speaking at the launch of the petition, Shabana said:

The neighbourhood office was once at the heart of our community, serving residents and providing a warm and space for them to meet.

It’s been left to rot for far too long, and we want to see it back open.

Please sign our petition – calling on the council and developers to re-open the Neighbourhood Office for good.
